Event at Venue Theatre and Actors Studio
Intro to Acting at Venue Theatre, covers the nuts and bolts of becoming an actor. Also great for public speakers and those needing self confidence.
INTRO TO ACTING IS AN 8 WEEK PROGRESSIVE CLASS, with a minimum of 8 weeks on Monday, then (based on your skill level) you may move on to the Scene Study workshop on Wednesdays if advised to do so. However if you attend both, you will be working on your own material in the Wednesday session as well as on Monday.During the 8 weeks you are encouraged to attend all nights if you can. The more you experience the quicker you will progress.More than just the Basics, our Intro workshop takes you from learning how to audition and cold read, memorization, how to push your own emotional buttons, through monologues, scene study, how the business works and how to make it work for you. An absolute must for anyone starting out.
Ages 18 and up. Exceptions are made for High School Seniors who have been focusing on acting for a few years. An interview is required and parental approval for anyone under age 18.
