I. 2015 Goals and Objectives
- Promote May 8th International Town Hall to raise export awareness and opportunities
with an emphasis on trade with Germany and Canada
- Facilitate better community understanding of the connotation of the term “Brownfield” and the
re-development tools made available
- Working with the Pinellas County School System to continue to advance technical career
opportunities to our citizens, both young and experienced.
- Promote industrial redevelopment and infrastructure upgrades on vacant parcels in Industrial
areas and when conversion to a manufacturing use makes sense along newly elevated highways.
- Develop stronger supply chain awareness for local manufacturers and suppliers and use this as
economic development tool for marketing in the region
- Support zoning reforms for limited “processing” work in retail and commercial zoning to allow on
site brewing of spirts.
