Discount grocer Aldi will move closer to widespread distribution in the Sunshine State with the Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting of its new 66th Street store on Tuesday, September 23 at 11.00 AM.The address of this location is 6700 66th St in Pinellas Park. Aldi District Manager Jessica Kurlansik invites City and Chamber members to attend this event.Through select brands and unique buying opportunities, Aldi is able to offer their customers the highest quality everyday items at the lowest possible prices: "Incredible Value Every Day!"The chain plans to open about 25 stores in Central Florida, including 10 in the Tampa Bay area. Besides Pinellas Park, the chain will have stores in Tampa, Brandon, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park and Lakeland.Its new 500,000-square-foot warehouse is being built near State Road 544 in Haines City, and will serve as its Florida headquarters.ALDI Group, a German-based grocery chain, is considering opening as many as 100 stores statewide.Privately held ALDI, which stands for Albrecht Discounts, sells private-label products.
