Ground Breakings
Not to be confused with ribbon cuttings, ground breakings have a very special meaning. They represent new businesses. These are entities that have labored long hours and decided to make Pinellas Park their home.
The Chamber Membership and Officials of the City of Pinellas Park gladly welcome all those that come to invest their resources in our community.
Present at these event you can generally find the Mayor of The City of Pinellas Park, the Honorable Mr. William Mischler, Mrs. Susan Walker, Business & Neighborhood Services for the City of Pinellas Park, Mrs. Ethel Mudd, President of the Pinellas Park Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Jay Soto, Executive VP of Pinellas Park Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Maddy McNaughton, Business Assistance Program Specialist representing the Pinellas County as well as other business and community leaders. All come out to welcome and show their support for the commitment exercised by the new business.
A nice benefit of this event is that the business owner has a great opportunity to “Shamelessly Promote” his business. And it’s a good time for all to learn about the business being celebrated. Family, friends, business associates and neighbors attend; all exchange greetings & stories; all are united in wishing the “Business Owner” great success!
Susan Walker, Chamber Ambassador and the City's Business & Neighborhood Services Director, works with businesses in coordinating these events.
