Economic Development Committee

Economic Development Committee — This diverse committee, with members representing a cross-section of businesses , universities, and city and chamber representative , meets monthly to develop strategies and explore avenues designed to encourage economic growth . Community Outreach with an economic agenda is also one of this committee ’ s responsibilities. They work with existing businesses interested in expansion and growth in the area, welcome and assist businesses interested in relocation, encourage export of local products, assist in efforts to develop global markets, and support vocational and training programs designed to meet the needs of local employers.
